The Connectivity Struggle at CAPAC
CAPAC is a well-established company in the agriculture industry, with a long-standing presence in the field. Specializing in the production and packaging of high-quality lucerne products, CAPAC has earned a reputation for excellence in providing essential agricultural solutions. Their facility, located at Klipboschlaagte, Robertson, spans an impressive 31,306.08 m², supporting their large-scale operations and growing demand. Despite their expansive size, CAPAC faced significant challenges in maintaining reliable cellular connectivity, which led them to seek a signal boosting solution from our signal experts.
The Problem
The Financial Manager, approached Bolton Technical to request a tailored signal boosting solution for their warehouse facility in Klipboschlaagte, Robertson. The primary issue was poor cellular reception, particularly on the Vodacom network, where LTE (4G) signal was weak, and GSM (2G) and UMTS (3G) signals were undetectable. Initial signal readings showed -95 dBm on LTE (4G), making communication inefficient and unreliable.

To tackle the signal challenges, our team of Signal Experts crafted and deployed a powerful cellular signal boosting solution powered by industry-leading WilsonPro technology. This high-performance system was designed with precision and included the following components:
Our Proven Approach to Signal Improvement
Site Survey: We began with an in-depth site survey to assess both outdoor and indoor signal strengths, identifying any potential obstacles to a smooth installation.
Custom Design: Based on our findings, we created a bespoke WilsonPro solution tailored to meet the unique signal needs of the warehouse. This included integrating WilsonPro A1000 boosters and strategically placing antennas to maximize coverage.
How It Works
Signal Capture: Outdoor signals were captured with the Arrow LPDA – a high-gain directional donor antenna – along with omni-directional antennas, each carefully tuned to nearby cell towers for optimal performance.
Signal Amplification: The WilsonPro A1000 signal boosters worked to amplify these captured signals, ensuring stronger reception inside the building.
Signal Distribution: The amplified signals were then seamlessly distributed throughout the facility using large high-gain sector antennas, guaranteeing comprehensive, reliable coverage across the entire site.
This approach ensured CAPAC received the powerful, consistent connectivity they needed to improve communication and operational efficiency.
The Result
Following the installation, CAPAC saw a remarkable improvement in cellular signal strength. Enhanced signal levels across multiple networks provided reliable communication for the team, improving both efficiency and operational flow.
